Designed and created an animation tool prototype.

 

 
 

The Face Animator tracks the motion of facial expressions and applies it to illustrations.  This is a prototype, eventually the tool will map facial movements in greater detail, yielding intensely expressive, real-time animations. 

The Face Animator is made in Processing, using  Face OSC.

 

I changed the texture's U V coordinates to better match the layout of this particular portrait. As a result, this face moves SLIGHTLY more naturally then the other two. I still need a better solution for natural-looking blinking, animating the pupil of the eye, and creating a natural relationship between the lips and the teeth.
